Even if things are going seemingly really well, there's no harm in dropping into the centres. They're always really friendly.

If you need to, you can text or message your health visiting team.

Just for a chat and to check there isn't any tweaks that you can make.

The helpline has been great. They always get back to me within the day.

We're here to support mums to feed their babies in the method that they've decided and to support them with their feeding choices.

Charlie's support with breastfeeding was absolutely amazing. She helped me with different positions, how to latch, how to feel comfortable, and also reminded me it's not just about getting the baby on the breast, it's also about you relaxing. And I noticed the difference in the feeding because then he relaxed. So she was brilliant.

For some mums getting to the Children's Centre for a set two hours each day to bring your baby to get weighed and to speak with someone might not be possible. So having an electronic way to talk to them is really helpful I think.

Our health visitor is fantastic, so we always get an answer from her, whether it's about breastfeeding, a skin rash and stuff like that, she can always give sort of advice on where to go.

I wish I'd attended those groups and watched new mums juggle how to get a good latch in public. If you've got a newborn and you may also have a toddler, you get very hot and flustered and it's all a lot. And I think if I had witnessed other mums go through that before I had to go through it, I perhaps wouldn't have felt like I'm the only one in the room hot and flustered and would've realised everyone's feeling the same.

I just needed a bit of help and support to try and get back on track. And especially having two babies to feed rather than one, it's quite a lot of work to know what to do and when, and are they getting enough and are they latching? And I think without this support, yeah, I would've given up.

We had their number, we were able to text someone and ask some questions. So they made it really quite comfortable. And I think because of that it sort of gave me the, "Oh, I can do that. There's no harm in giving it a go," kind of thing. And so I tried, didn't I? And we got there in the end.

These types of groups are brilliant because you can see all these other women here as well, which is lovely because you don't feel alone. I don't think I would've persevered maybe as much if I hadn't had this direct support on breastfeeding.

Everyone's journey is going to be so different. My advice would be just to make sure that you know where to go. There is plenty of support available with the NHS and in your local area generally. So make sure that you're aware where to seek help.
